In order to further implement COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control work and strengthen the home-school connection, Anqing Foreign Language School's Senior High Department continued to carry out home visits this winter.
What is different from previous years is that besides traditional door-to-door visits, teachers also made use of online video and other online methods to timely understand students' study and life conditions through online and offline home visits, and kept records of home visits as well.
First of all, during the home visit, teachers first stressed that parents and students should resolutely overcome lax thinking and fluke mind, establish the awareness of ‘low risk is not zero risk’, and earnestly do a good job in pandemic prevention and control measures as required.
Second of all, in addition to the regular home visit, teachers conducted targeted and selective independent visit. For the uunderachievers and poorly-disciplined students, online home visiting teachers set up one-to-one online tutoring to solve students' learning difficulties to relieve their academic pressure, and provide parents with some effective family education suggestions.
Last but not the least, Anqing Foreign Language School made ‘vacation home visits’ implemented in a real-time way, and proceeded timely and effective guidance. To be specific, head teachers maintained close contact with students and their parents by means of the WeChat group and QQ group. On the other hand, the subject teachers tutored students and answered questions via the DingTalk platform to urge the students to finish their homework and review their lessons every day in accordance with the suggestions and plans initiated by the Senior High Department while enjoying a wonderful time in winter vacation.
In conclusion, online and offline, Anqing Foreign Language School keeps pace with the times, pursues better and more efficient learning methods, and cares for the healthy growth of every student in Anqing Foreign Language School!
